Throughout May, Global News has been covering stories celebrating Asian Heritage Month and the countless accomplishments of Canadians of Asian heritage. Now, here's the journey of a Japanese-Canadian trailblazer.

As a teen, Frank Moritsugu was forced into an internment camp in British Columbia, and later enlisted in the Canadian army. He also happens to be a journalist with more than eight decades of experience.
