A 73-year-old died aboard a Singapore Airlines plane on Tuesday as a result of severe turbulence. The flight leaving London hit an air pocket and was diverted for an emergency landing in Bangkok. Among the 211 passengers and 18 crew were at least 30 other injured passengers — seven of which were in critical condition — according to Thai officials.
