Donald Trump supporters gathered across the U.S. this week, as the former U.S. president held his first campaign event since a Manhattan jury found him guilty on all 34 counts he faced of falsifying business records on May 30.

Speaking at a rally in Phoenix, Ariz., on Thursday, Trump denied any wrongdoing, blasted President Joe Biden and threatened tariffs against China.

“Open your eyes. We cannot be a third world country. We have to stop this illegal immigration,” teacher Britt Yvonne James said. “We have to make America great again. Trump is wonderful. I love that man and he is God's David. So go Trump!”

“It's been four years of pretty bad economy, inflation, employment, tax — you name it. It's been horrible,” independent sales representative Mark Linderman said. “Trump's going to bring us back. One lady in there asked: ‘What are you going to do for people? How can we fix this country?’ He answered it in three words ‘Vote for Trump.’ That was the answer.”
