Weather experts say a “bomb cyclone” is coming in too fast and too furious, setting up a weather whiplash for parts of North America's West Coast.
The storm is set to drop 300 millimetres on California, which has been suffering through severe drought and relentless wildfires.
The bomb cyclone will also pack heavy winds equivalent to a Category 3 hurricane, and the coast guard is on alert for waves up to 9-meters high.
As Jennifer Johnson reports, residents are bracing for the flash flooding, hurricane force winds and major mudslides.
