‘Shattered sense of safety’ in Rafah as Israel continues deadly attacks: AJE correspondence

In Rafah city, there are reports of escalating death and destruction, heightening fears of a potential ground invasion. Residential areas are under direct attack, resulting in casualties, including 16 deaths overnight, including six children. Among the victims was a pregnant woman who arrived at the hospital deceased, but doctors managed to save her unborn child. This pattern of violence has intensified in recent weeks, leaving residents traumatized and with a shattered sense of safety.
