Strong tremors were felt in Delhi Tuesday after multiple earthquakes hit Nepal - of 4.6 and 6.2 magnitude within 25 minutes of each other, a third of 3.8 magnitude 15 minutes after, and a fourth of 3.1 magnitude 13 minutes later, at 3.19 PM IST.

नीदरलैंड्स के रिसर्चर Frank Hoogerbeets ने पाकिस्‍तान में भूकंप की भविष्‍यवाणी की थी. लेकिन भूकंप पाकिस्तान की जगह दिल्ली-NCR सहित पूरे उत्तर भारत में मंगलवार की दोपहर भूकंप के तेज झटके महसूस किए गए. भूकंप के कारण काफी देर तक झटके लगते रहे. भूकंप की तीव्रता इतनी जोरदार थी कि घर और दफ्तरों से निकलकर लोग तुरंत ही सड़कों पर आ गए. बताया जा रहा है कि भूकंप का केद्र नेपाल में था.
