The Washington Nationals punched their ticket to the World Series for the first time in franchise history, sweeping the Saint Louis Cardinals 7-4 in game 4 of the NLCS. It will be the first trip to the Fall Classic for a Washington DC baseball team since 1933 when they were the Senators. In the KHL, Amur notched a late third period goal, defeated Lokomotiv 2-1.
