Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair an important series of meetings with District Magistrates of the states and to begin the same, he will interact with 54 DMs of 10 states on May 20.
The meeting scheduled to happen on May 20 at 11 AM will have PM Modi take stock of the COVID situation from these officials.

The states to be part of the first virtual meeting will include Maharashtra, Kerala, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Odisha.
Meanwhile, according to sources, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to write to PM Modi opposing the decision. She is said to be against the move to skip Chief Ministers in this series of meetings by directly interacting with DMs.
