The United States has confirmed at least 14 of its citizens were killed in the terror attack on Saturday, and believes Americans are among the hostages being held by the militant Islamist group Hamas.
Most families have had no word on their fate.
The German-Israeli citizen Shani Louk has also been missing since Saturday. Her family has been trying to get help from the government in Berlin, but they feel abandoned by the German authorities.
