Sir Keir Starmer and the Labour party have accepted hundreds of thousands of pounds in donations from a wealthy climate activist who has also been funding the pressure group Just Stop Oil.

The Labour leader is one of 14 MPs given more than a quarter of a million pounds each towards their campaigns and causes - all of it legal and fully declared.

The figures were revealed in analysis of the Westminster Accounts, a major project from Sky News and Tortoise Media which for the first time details in one place how much MPs are receiving in extra income, gifts and donations - and from whom.

And they show that Ecotricity, a green energy company founded by Dale Vince, has donated thousands of pounds to Sir Keir and Labour.
