Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., asked a question on Feb. 12 to the House impeachment managers, who are arguing that the Senate should convict former President Donald Trump on the charge that he incited the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
“Is it true or false that in the months leading up to January 6th, dozens of courts, including state and federal courts in Georgia, rejected President Trump’s campaign’s efforts to overturn his loss to Joe Biden?” Warnock asked.
Lead impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., responded that Trump lost 61 court challenges related to his disproven accusations of election fraud.
“They couldn’t find any corruption. They couldn’t find any fraud; certainly nothing rising to a material level that would alter the outcome of any of the elections,” Raskin said.
Raskin spoke during the fourth day of the Senate impeachment trial against Trump. Trump was impeached by the House in January, while he was still in office.
