During the six hours of debate ahead of the House impeachment vote, Rep. Devin Nunes, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, criticized Democrats for how they pursued the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump. "It's not easy to make the coup attempt boring, but the Democrats found a way," he said, also suggesting that the American people are not convinced of the evidence presented in the inquiry. Trump has been charged with two articles of impeachment--abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. If passed, the process will then head for a trial in the Senate, where Republicans have a majority. Earlier in the day, the House voted to approve rules for the vote.
