Pamela S. Karlan, a Stanford law professor, apologized for her earlier comments about President Donald Trump’s son during a House Judiciary Committee hearing that is part of the impeachment probe into the president. “I want to apologize for what I said earlier about the president’s son. It was wrong of me to do that,” Karlan said. Earlier in the testimony, Karlan had said "while the president can name his son Barron, he can't make him a baron." First lady Melania Trump tweeted after Karlan’s initial comments that “A minor child deserves privacy and should be kept out of politics. Pamela Karlan, you should be ashamed of your very angry and obviously biased public pandering, and using a child to do it.” Karlan testified Dec. 4 alongside other legal experts.
