President Joe Biden took credit Thursday for the nation’s post-COVID economic rebound at the CNN Presidential Debate.

“The economy collapsed. There were no jobs. Unemployment rate rose to 15 percent. It was terrible,” Biden said.

The June 27 CNN Presidential Debate was the first time President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump faced off this election season. It was also the first debate between a sitting and former president.
