Video of fireworks being set off on TTC bus in Toronto prompts safety concerns

Shocking footage of a male setting off fireworks at unsuspecting passengers on a TTC bus in Scarborough, Ont. circled the web on Thursday, shortly after the incident took place.

The footage was recorded by another suspect.

This marked only one of several recently reported firework attacks on public transit in the GTA. The incidents have renewed safety concerns on the TTC amid other violent attacks that are seemingly recurring in the city.

The attack was described as both “illegal” and “terrifying” by Global’s Sean O’Shea.
