Video game testers working for Raven Software testing games from Activision-Blizzard have officially formed a union, the first of its kind in the video game industry. Quality assurance workers across the industry, as well as the testers at Raven, are paid poverty wages on a contractual basis, meaning they don’t qualify for health benefits while being subjected to harsh deadlines and 12+ hour shifts.
