US Election: Candidates react to Philadelphia protests after shooting of black male

Officers were out in force following two days of protests in the city of Philadelphia over the fatal shooting of a black man by police.

The Democratic candidate Joe Biden said peaceful protests over Walter Wallace Jr's death were reasonable, but violence was not.

According to family lawyer Shaka Johnson, the father-of-nine's relatives had called for an ambulance rather than the police to get him help with a mental health crisis.
