'Ukraine will be on the ballot in the US election' - former adviser to Barack Obama

Former Deputy National Security Adviser to President Obama, Ben Rhodes, says "Putin does not have an incentive to make a deal with Ukraine before the (US) election."

On how the US election could play out, Mr Rhodes says "If this election can become a referendum on Donald Trump, I think that benefits Joe Biden more.

"If this election is a referendum on Joe Biden, I think that benefits Donald Trump more. And that's the kind of election season that we're heading into."
