A British judge has ruled that Julian Assange should not be extradited to the United States to face espionage charges, saying that such a move would be “oppressive” because of the WikiLeaks founder’s mental health.
He is wanted there on espionage charges for the publication of thousands of secret US military documents in 2010 and 2011.
And US authorities are now expected to appeal against the decision.

Al Jazeera’s Neave Barker reports from outside the court in London.
