Desmond Mills Jr is one of five police officers who have pleaded not guilty to murdering Tyre Nichols in Memphis, Tennessee, after he was pulled over on suspicion of reckless driving.

Following the plea, his lawyer made a statement saying "I implore the public to be patient and to be cautious in judging Mr Mills and we look forward to defending him".
