Students of Turkey's Bogazici University in Istanbul have been protesting against the government's appointment of the university president for nearly a month.
They say the decision is political, and they want academic freedom and to be able to elect their own.
Hundreds of people have been arrested during rallies and later released, but dozens of students remain in police custody.
The government seems determined not to change its decision, but the students at the university say they want to be free to prepare for final exams - and to have their voices heard.
Al Jazeera’s Sinem Koseoglu reports from Istanbul, Turkey.
