Former U.S. president Donald Trump has officially launched his 2024 White House bid, a week after his fellow Republicans were unable to produce a "red wave" during the midterm elections.

Trump will attempt to become the second person in American history to serve as president in non-consecutive terms, with Grover Cleveland having done so in the late 1800’s.
