United States President-elect Joe Biden has been formally given the go-ahead by the federal agency the General Services Administration to begin his transition to the presidency.
It follows the battleground state of Michigan certifying him as the winner there.
US President Donald Trump tweeted that he gave the GSA permission to move forward - but added that: "Our case strongly continues, we will keep up the good fight".
