Prime Minister Justin Trudeau allegedly told NATO officials Canada will never meet its defence spending targets, according to a leaked secret Pentagon assessment obtained by The Washington Post.

Canada’s financial investments into the military have not met the two per cent of GDP target for NATO funding in more than 20 years.
