Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will hold a media avail on Thursday, alongside Nunavut Premier P.J. Akeeagok and Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated president Aluki Kotierk, in Iqaluit.

This follows a signing ceremony Trudeau participated in for the Nunavut Lands and Resources Devolution Agreement, which saw the transfer of public lands to the territory from the federal government.

All other provinces and territories already have devolution agreements with the federal government. Akeeagok has frequently spoken about devolution since he became premier in 2021.
