Jana Wendt tracks down two key witnesses whose testimony could have been vital to a recent coronial inquiry into the deaths of two little girls drowned in a record rainstorm last year. Cindy Lee Carrick and her baby sister, Raelene, were driving with their mother and her de facto husband when the car was hit by a flash flood. In the family's attempt to escape, they reportedly were swept out of the de facto husband's arms - a tragic incident which led all of Sydney to offer support and sympathy. Jana's investigation has turned up a number of discrepancies in the original statements given to police and the two new witnesses could well lead authorities to consider reopening the case.
