Storms that triggered torrential downpour and subsequent floods across cities in the Black Sea region have left at least three dead between Greece and Bulgaria.

Storm Daniel hit western and central Greece on Monday, days after a deadly, two-week-spanning wildfire was brought under control.

A 51-year-old livestock farmer was crushed and killed by a wall in Volos during the storm, local fire emergency services reported.

At least two were killed in Bulgaria’s Tsarevo region as a result of the floods, with 60 reportedly being evacuated from the area.
