Strong storms battered Texas on Wednesday, destroying properties, downing power lines and toppling trees. The township of Temple was hit particularly hard, as a tornado tore through the area, prompting an emergency declaration to its residents.
Though no fatalities or life-threatening injuries were reported, city officials have asked residents to stay home if they can as road conditions are either dangerous, closed, or impassible at this time.
“It was so scary,” a Temple local said as she recorded the aftermath of the tornado’s trail of destruction.
Similarly, residents of Greenfield, Iowa are cleaning up after a tornado left at least five people dead and dozens more injured.
