Tornado moves through Tennessee causing widespread damage, no injuries reported

After last week’s active weather across parts of the U.S. spawned several tornadoes, another twister moved through Tennessee on Sunday.

Emergency crews and residents were cleaning up Monday after a tornado swept through the area with high winds, uprooting trees, damaging homes, sheds and cars.

National Weather Service teams will be on-site to see just how strong the tornado was. There were no reports of injuries.

“Physically we’re okay, our animals are okay and that’s all that matter,” said Tipton County resident Nikki Tolbert.
