Top News Of The Day: On Camera, IIT Graduate Attacks Cops Outside Gorakhnath Temple In UP

An IIT graduate attacked two policemen with a sharp weapon outside the Gorakhnath temple in Uttar Pradesh last evening and tried to enter the temple while shouting religious slogans, before he was overpowered by a crowd and arrested. The incident will be treated as an act of terror, says the UP police. Haridwar hatemonger Yati Narsinghanand -- out on bail more than a month ago -- today delivered another hate speech in national capital Delhi. HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh said that HDFC will merge with HDFC Bank and it will be an all-stock amalgamation, subject to approval of shareholders of both the entities.
