India's first case of coronavirus variant XE was reported in Mumbai today, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has said in a media release. One case of the Kappa variant has also been detected. The patients with the new variants of the virus don't have any severe symptoms so far. In a buzzy meeting today with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar raised the central probe agencies' action against leaders of Maharashtra's ruling coalition and other politicians bitterly opposed to the BJP. AAP's 'Mission Himachal' began with a Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann roadshow in Mandi today. The Aam Aadmi Party chose Mandi to begin its campaign, as it is the home turf of incumbent chief minister Jai Ram Thakur.
