Sky News has spent time inside a "mental health bank", where young people are being treated because the waiting lists for the NHS are so long.

In response to Britain's mental health crisis, the centres fund their own counsellors to support the youngsters.

Sky's Nick Martin visited the Jade Centre, which receives referrals from GPs who would normally have sent children to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

Warning: Contains details of self-harm and suicide.

For mental health support, contact the Samaritans on 116 123, email them at [email protected], or visit http://samaritans.org to find your nearest branch
