The world loses more than 40% of under-five children to infant and neonatal mortality. But a simple and innovative model of Home-based Newborn Care, that is now being widely replicated globally, is changing all that. At the heart of this model are the aarogyadoots or ambassadors of health. These 39 women, one from each village, have been trained in essential newborn care.
