Terrorist will die in prison for the murder of Sir David Amess

Ali Harbi Ali has been given a whole life sentence for fatally stabbing Sir David Amess more than 20 times last October.

While delivering Mr. Ali's sentence, Mr Justice Sweeney said the killing of the MP for Southend West "struck at the heart of our democracy".
