Libya is facing renewed political turmoil after its parliament appointed a new prime minister. But the incumbent prime minister is refusing to cede power, and still has the backing of the United Nations. The development has raised fears of renewed conflict between rival factions, which have divided Libya since former dictator Moammar Gadhafi was ousted and killed in 2011.
