शिवसेना (Shiv Sena) नेता के बयान पर उत्तराखंड (Uttarakhand) की ज्योतिष पीठ के शंकराचार्य (Shankaracharya) स्वामी अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद सरस्वती (Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati) ने प्रतिक्रिया दी. उन्होंने राजनीतिक नेताओं द्वारा धर्म को लेकर दिए गए बयानों पर बात करते हुए कहा कि, ""हम संयासी हैं, पॉलिटिकल बयान (Political Statements) नहीं देना चाहिए...बिलकुल सही है लेकिन पॉलिटिकल लोगों (Politicians) को भी तो धर्म में नहीं पड़ना चाहिए...राजनीतिज्ञ लोग धर्म में हस्तक्षेप बंद करें हम गारंटी दे रहे हैं कि हम राजनीति (Politics) में बोलना बंद कर देंगे. लेकिन आप हमारे धर्म (Religion) में निरंतर हस्तक्षेप करते जा रहे हो और हम धर्म के बारे में ना बोलें..."

Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotish Peeth of Uttarakhand reacted to the statement of Shiv Sena leader. Talking about the statements made by political leaders about religion, he said, "We are sanyasis, we should not make political statements... absolutely correct but political people should also not get involved in religion... Politicians should stop interfering in religion, we are guaranteeing that we will stop speaking in politics. But you are constantly interfering in our religion and we should not speak about religion..."
