Manchester City's manager has distanced himself from the Super League announcement.

Pep Guardiola said: "It is not sport when the relation between effort and success doesn't exist."

Earlier he told a press conference that he had no idea about the plans - having only heard of them just hours before the statement was released which included his owner Sheikh Mansour.
