Alice (not her real name) was 11 years old when she logged onto video chat website Omegle.

She was randomly matched with a paedophile, who would go on to abuse her for years.

Nearly 10 years later, Alice is now suing the website in a landmark case - it may be the first time a tech platform is put on trial for the way it was built.

Omegle's legal team has argued in court that the website is not to blame for what happened to Alice. Its creator, Leif K Brookes, told the BBC users of the platform were "solely responsible for their behaviour".
