Storm Bella hit England and Wales early Sunday morning with winds of 170 kilometres recorded on the Isle of Wight and heavy rain causing flooding in many parts of the U.K.
Gusts of wind and heavy rain battered the Disney Magic cruise ship at the port of Dover on Sunday as Bella swept across Britain and France.
A section of Barnsdale Road between Castleford and Allerton Bywater was closed after the River Aire burst its banks nearby.
Those without suitable vehicles faced a lengthy diversion, while those in 4x4s drove through without any difficulties. Many cyclists also made it through the floodwater.
