Dozens of demonstrators gathered outside Palestine's official news agency WAFA in Ramallah on Tuesday to protest a raid conducted by Israeli forces at their headquarters a day before.
The raid occurred on Monday, a day after a suspected Palestinian gunmen opened fire on a group of Israelis standing at a bus stop at a nearby Jewish settlement, wounding six.
Protesters held up banners calling the raid 'an assassination of the truth and freedom of expression' and an 'attack on journalists.' Grenades left behind from the raid could be seen on desks inside the news agency.
Nasser Abu Baker, President of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, said at the protest: "We are united journalists and the entire body of Palestinian journalists is united against their crimes."
Dozens of Palestinians were reportedly injured by tear gas inhalation and rubber bullets during clashes which broke out in Ramallah on Monday after the Israeli Defence Forces entered the city as part of their search for the perpetrators.
