Standing ovation for 'bionic MP' Craig Mackinlay as he returns to Parliament

Members of the House of Commons have given a standing ovation to Conservative MP Craig Mackinlay as he returned to parliament after having his hands and feet amputated.

The MP for South Thanet was rushed to hospital last year after contracting the life-threatening condition sepsis.

His hands and feet had to be amputated and he has been fitted with prosthetic limbs.
