Some Canadian parents travelling to US for COVID-19 booster ahead of school year

As the school year approaches, some Canadian parents are urging provinces to expand the eligibility for booster doses for school-aged children in hopes they'll have extra protection before starting classes.

But with those delays and many schools having fewer COVID-19 safety measures than in the past few years, some parents have taken their kids south of the border to the U.S. to get those booster shots.

Shallima Maharaj spoke with parents to find out their reasons and why some medical professionals are also urging provinces to speed up their eligibility.
