Qasem Soleimani, the Iranian commander killed in a US airstrike, has been immortalized in a tribute video game. ‘Commander of the Resistance; Amerli Battle’ tells the story of the 80-day IS siege of Amerli in Iraq, during which Iranian forces played a key strategic role.

The game has been well-received by Iranian players. Its creator says it aims to portray real-life events “with the least distortion and the most accurate data and information”.
