A COVID catch up plan to help children in England make up lost lessons, costing £1.4bn, has been unveiled by the government.

But Labour's shadow education secretary Kate Green told Sky News the £1.4bn package "falls woefully inadequate of what the government's own education expert Sir Kevan Collins is suggesting is needed".
