United Nations peacekeepers are speeding up their withdrawal from northern Mali as the security situation deteriorates.
A week ago, six UN troops and dozens of fighters from an armed group were killed in confrontations near a UN base.
The military government has pushed the UN Security Council's mission to leave the country before the end of the year.
