Ten innocent people, including Aaron Salter Jr., were killed in the mass shooting at a Buffalo, N.Y. grocery store.

Now the 55-year-old security guard is being hailed a hero for confronting the gunman. Though his efforts ultimately cost him his life, Salter engaged the shooter, who was heavily protected by body armour, with his own gun, before he was struck down himself.
