Second day of violence in France over pension plans

Opposition parties in France have tabled two motions of no confidence in the government after President Macron pushed controversial pension reforms through parliament that would see the retirement aged rise from 62 to 64.

There has been a second day of protests in Paris and other cities over the measures – hundreds were arrested on Thursday night in violence in the capital.
