Moscow has sent 240,000 more Sputnik V vaccines to Latin American countries as the region increasingly views the Russian jab as its best chance of curbing the coronavirus. And, as the EU experiences shortages and delays in delivery from other vaccine producers, the UN’s Secretary General said Sputnik V could play a key global role in fighting COVID.
