The Royal Family, dignitaries from Commonwealth nations and other countries attended the state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II, as the 10 days of mourning for her is set to end when she is laid to rest in Windsor later on Monday.

King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, as well as the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the queen, followed the coffin into Westminster Abbey following a procession from Westminster Hall where she had been lying in state.

The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, led the service for the queen, paying tribute to her "unswerving commitment to a high calling over so many years."

"With admiration, we recall her lifelong sense of duty and dedication to her people," Welby said before the crowd.

Two minutes of silence were observed for the queen, followed by a singing of "God Save The King." The coffin then was taken out of the Abbey, where it will journey to Windsor Castle for a smaller committal service. She is to be buried alongside her late husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, who died last year.
