India marked its 75th Republic Day commemorations on Friday with a grand military parade in New Delhi. The parade was said to showcase India's military might, traditions, and culture. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid a wreath at a war memorial before the parade began.

French President Emmanuel Macron was the guest of honour this year, and a French marching band and contingents took part in the parade.

This event was significant as it reciprocated the participation of Indian troops and aircraft in the 2023 Bastille Day military parade in Paris.
